Joni Gerrity is an Associate Attorney whose practice focuses on personal injury defense and civil litigation. Since being admitted to the Florida Bar in 2017, she has developed a reputation for exceptional courtroom advocacy, strategic case analysis, and strong, client-centered communication.
Before entering civil defense, Joni served as an Assistant State Attorney, Assistant U.S. Attorney, and Assistant Statewide Prosecutor, where she tried more than 35 jury trials and handled complex criminal matters at both the state and federal levels. Her extensive prosecutorial background gives her a confident command of the courtroom and a deep understanding of how to evaluate evidence, assess risk, and develop persuasive trial strategy.
In private practice, Joni has represented insurance carriers, companies, and individual clients in first-party property matters, general liability claims, and cases involving personal injury, significant bodily harm, or wrongful death. Her approach emphasizes clear communication, practical guidance, and a strong partnership with her clients at every stage of the case.
Joni earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law. She was inducted into the Order of the Coif and was a member of the BLSA Mock Trial Team. She is admitted to practice in Florida.
Outside of work, Ms. Gerrity enjoys spending time at the theme parks, traveling, and relaxing with her cats.
